Lamb Souvlaki

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Lamb

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the lamb cubes and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tzatziki

In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and fresh dill. Stir until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.

  3. 3

    Skewer and Grill the Lamb

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread marinated lamb onto skewers. Grill for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until lamb is cooked to your liking.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Souvlaki

Warm the pita bread on the grill for a minute. Place grilled lamb, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and onion mix in the pita. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.

  5. 5

    Serve

Wrap the pita around the filling and serve immediately.
