Prepare the Rice
- 1
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the white rice, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
Cook the Meat
- 2
Brown the Meats
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chorizo sausage. Cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a spatula, for about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Assemble the Burrito
- 3
Layer the Ingredients
Lay a large flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a layer of refried beans in the center, followed by a scoop of rice, a portion of the cooked meat, and a generous handful of shredded cheddar cheese.
- 4
Add the Toppings
Top the burrito with black beans and any desired toppings such as sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
- 5
Roll the Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
