Prepare the Glass
Rim a margarita glass with salt by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into salt. Set aside.

Mix Margarita Base
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain the Margarita Base
Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the margarita mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Zombie Blood Layer

Add Zombie Blood Layer
Slowly pour the cranberry juice over the back of a spoon so it floats on top of the margarita base for a layered effect.

Drizzle Grenadine
Carefully drizzle the grenadine into the drink. It will sink and create a 'blood' effect.
Garnishing

Top the drink with a lime wedge and a maraschino cherry for a festive touch.
