Method
Tea Preparation
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- 2
Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 4 tablespoons of black tea leaves. Cover the pot and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea.
- 3
Strain Tea
After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher or large container. Discard the leaves.
- 4
Cool Tea
Let the tea cool to room temperature. You can speed this up by placing the pitcher in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the cooled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves as desired.
