Prepare the Tortillas
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges to create chips.

Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the Chips
Carefully add tortilla wedges to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Season
Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt.

Mix the Salsa
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.

Season the Salsa
Add lime juice and salt to the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Chill and Serve
Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with the crispy tortilla chips.
