Prepare the Pork
Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, cumin, and oregano. Rub the spices all over the meat.

Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves. Cook on low for about 3 hours until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard any excess fat.

Serve
Serve the carnitas with chopped cilantro and lime wedges on the side. Enjoy with spicy red and green salsa.
