Preparation Instructions
- 1
Cook the Udon Noodles
Bring 2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add the udon noodles and cook according to package instructions until they are tender, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- 2
Drain and Rinse
Once the noodles are cooked, drain them in a colander and rinse under cold running water to stop the cooking process and cool them down.
- 3
Chill the Noodles
After rinsing, let the noodles drain completely and then chill them in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes.
- 4
Serve
To serve, place the chilled udon noodles on a plate or in a bowl. You can serve them with a dipping sauce (tsuyu) on the side, and garnish with sliced green onions, nori, or sesame seeds if desired.
