Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Octopus

Rinse the octopus under cold water and remove the beak if necessary. If the octopus is whole, you may want to cut it into tentacles for easier cooking.

  2. 2

    Boil the Octopus

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add sea salt and the whole lemon (cut in half). Carefully add the octopus to the boiling water, reduce heat to a simmer, and cook for 30-40 minutes or until tender.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

While the octopus is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Octopus to Skillet

Once the octopus is tender, remove it from the pot and let it cool slightly. Cut it into bite-sized pieces and add it to the skillet with the garlic. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Season and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat, and add chopped parsley, paprika, black pepper, and additional sea salt if needed. Toss to combine. Serve warm.
