Peanut Brittle
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare Your Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
- 2
Cook Sugar Mixture
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 3
Add Peanuts
Once boiling, add the peanuts and continue stirring until the mixture reaches a deep golden color, around 300°F (hard crack stage).
- 4
Finish with Baking Soda and Vanilla
Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will bubble up.
- 5
Pour and Cool
Immediately pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly. Allow it to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
