Method

Cinnamon Rolls

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix in flour gradually until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead and Rise

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Shape the Rolls

Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll tightly and cut into slices.

  4. 4

    Bake

Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Croissants

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Mix in flour, salt, and melted butter until combined.

  2. 6

    Chill the Dough

Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  3. 7

    Laminate the Dough

Roll out the dough, place cold butter in the center, and fold the dough over. Roll out and fold several times to create layers.

  4. 8

    Shape the Croissants

Roll the dough into triangles and roll them up from the base to the tip. Allow to rise for 1 hour.

  5. 9

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Seasonal Muffins

  1. 10

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  2. 11

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.

  3. 12

    Combine Mixtures

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the seasonal fruit.

  4. 13

    Bake the Muffins

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Fill muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
