Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the pork ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the seasonings generously over the ribs.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours or until tender.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Breading

In a bowl, combine flour and cornstarch. Mix well. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut the ribs into individual pieces.

  4. 4

    Fry the Ribs

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Dredge each rib piece in the flour and cornstarch mixture, shaking off the excess. Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the fried ribs hot with Michigan maple syrup drizzled over the top or on the side for dipping.
