Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder all over the ribs.

Prepare the Smoker
Soak oak wood chunks in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add the soaked wood chunks.

Smoke the Ribs
Place the ribs in the smoker bone-side down. Smoke for 9 hours, maintaining a temperature of 225°F, until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone.
