In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and mayonnaise. Mix until well blended.

Stir in diced pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.

Transfer the mixture to a serving platter and shape it into a football. Smooth out the surface with a spatula.

Refrigerate the football-shaped pimento cheese for at least 1 hour to firm up and allow flavors to meld.
