    Make the Spiced Apple Syrup

    In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of apple juice, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, 4-5 cloves, and a pinch of nutmeg. Simmer over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Let cool and strain before use.

    Mix the Cocktail

    In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the Gosling's Dark Rum, housemade spiced apple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Shake well until chilled.

    Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.
