Wild-caught North Carolina shrimp and Andouille sausage cooked with okra and vegetables in a rich shrimp stock. Served with Carolina Gold rice and garnished with filé powder.

Add Okra and Spices
Stir in the okra, bay leaves, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine Shrimp Stock
Pour in the shrimp stock and bring to a simmer. Add the cooked sausage back into the pot.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.

Prepare the Rice
In a separate pot, cook the Carolina Gold rice according to package instructions.

Serve
Ladle the gumbo into bowls over a scoop of rice. Garnish with filé powder to taste.
