Prepare the Oak Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and soak the oak wood chips in water for 30 minutes to enhance the smoky flavor.

Form the Burger Patty
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty, about 1-inch thick.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Nueske's applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain.

Assemble the Burger
Toast the brioche bun on the grill for about 1 minute. Layer the burger patty with melted cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and top with the other half of the bun.
