Bread Ingredients
Method
Bread Preparation
- 1
Mixing the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well. Add the water and olive oil, and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- 2
Kneading the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 3
First Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- 4
Shaping the Bread
Once risen, gently deflate the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place it on a floured baking sheet or parchment paper.
- 5
Second Rise
Cover the shaped loaf with a cloth and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
- 6
Baking
Preheat the wood oven to a high temperature (around 450°F or 232°C). Bake the bread for about 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- 7
Cooling
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
