Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef and ground pork, cooking until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in the ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Sauces
In a separate bowl, combine the tomato sauce and heavy cream to create a pink sauce. Set aside.

Fill the Cannelloni
Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully fill each cannelloni noodle with the meat and ricotta mixture. Place the filled noodles in a baking dish.

Assemble the Dish
Pour the pink sauce over the filled cannelloni, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle the grated parmigiana cheese on top.

Bake
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh basil if desired.
