Prepare the Calamari
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Dredge the calamari rings in the flour mixture, coating them evenly.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Calamari
Fry the calamari in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the lemon juice and stir to combine. Keep warm.

Serve
Plate the fried calamari, drizzle with lemon butter sauce, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
