Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the mostaccioli or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the marinara sauce and heavy cream. Stir well to incorporate and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce mixture and stir until the pasta is well coated.

Assemble the Dish
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread half of the pasta mixture. Sprinkle half of the blended Italian cheese over the top. Layer the remaining pasta mixture and top with the rest of the cheese and the grated Parmigiana.

Bake
Drizzle olive oil over the top and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, then serve warm.
