Fritter Ingredients

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fritters

In a large bowl, mix together the sugar pumpkin puree, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and milk together, then combine with the dry ingredients until just mixed.

  2. 2

    Fry the Fritters

In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the fritter mixture into the oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Make the Glaze

In a saucepan, combine apple cider, chopped habanero, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Crumb

In a skillet over medium heat, toast the chopped walnuts until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and toss with honey and Urfa pepper.

  5. 5

    Serve

Drizzle the habanero apple glaze over the fritters and sprinkle with honey-Urfa walnut crumb before serving.
