Fried Whole Wings

Method

Fried Whole Wings Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Coating

In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Coat the Wings

Dredge each chicken wing in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated wings to the hot oil, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
