Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove the pot from heat and add 2 green tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

  3. 3

    Add Mint Leaves

After steeping, remove the tea bags and add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves to the hot tea. Allow the mint to steep for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  1. 4

    Sweeten the Tea

After the mint has steeped, stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar to taste. Adjust sweetness as desired.

  2. 5

    Strain and Serve

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into serving cups to remove the mint leaves. Serve hot.
