Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

Take the fresh ground beef and form it into a round patty about 3/4 inch thick. Ensure it is evenly shaped.

  2. 2

    Season the Patty

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the patty for added flavor.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese (Optional)

If using cheese, place a slice on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bun

While the patty is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and toast lightly on the grill or skillet if desired.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of the bun, place the lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty, then add the tomato slice, onion rings, and pickle slices.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun over the toppings and press down gently.
