Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time if you prefer a different doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a plate for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to form fries.

  2. 5

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps in achieving a crispier fry.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the correct temperature.

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

  5. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
