Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 3
Prepare the Pizza Base
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 4
Assemble the Pizza
Spread a layer of rosemary marmalade over the pizza base. Top with caramelized onions, followed by the cooked Italian sausage. Sprinkle the Gorgonzola and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top. Finish with fresh rosemary.
- 5
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- 6
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice it up, and enjoy your Bloomington Pizza!
