Fried Brussels Sprouts
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half.
- 2
Fry the Brussels Sprouts
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Brussels sprouts cut-side down and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 3
Make the Creamy Lemon Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine heavy cream, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are crispy, remove them from the skillet and place them on a serving platter. Drizzle the creamy lemon sauce over the Brussels sprouts and finish with a splash of aged balsamic vinegar.
