Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities.

  2. 2

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot. Cover the pot with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pods are tender but still bright green.

  2. 4

    Drain and Season

After steaming, carefully drain the edamame in a colander. While they are still hot, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt, tossing to evenly coat the pods.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Transfer the salted edamame to a serving bowl. Serve warm, allowing guests to pop the beans out of the pods with their fingers.
