Preparation of Ingredients
- 1
Prepare the Orange
Cut the orange in half. Squeeze the juice from one half into a cocktail shaker and reserve the other half for garnish.
- 2
Garnish the Pear
Thinly slice the fresh pear for garnish, ensuring you have enough slices to float on top of the drink.
Mixing the Cocktail
- 3
Combine Spirits
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Horse Soldier Bourbon, 0.5 oz of Jura 10 Year Single Malt Scotch, and the freshly squeezed orange juice.
- 4
Add the Liqueur
Add 0.5 oz of Chambord Raspberry Liqueur into the shaker with the spirits.
- 5
Shake with Ice
Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until chilled.
Serving the Cocktail
- 6
Prepare the Glass
Place a large ice cube in an old-fashioned glass.
- 7
Strain and Layer
Strain the mixture from the shaker over the large ice cube in the glass.
- 8
Top with Prosecco
Gently pour 3 oz of La Marca Prosecco over the strained mixture to add a sparkling finish.
- 9
Garnish
Garnish the drink with a slice of orange and a few pear slices on top.
