Chicken Preparation

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by trimming the chicken breast to remove any excess fat. Cut the chicken breast into strips, each about 1 inch wide. Place the chicken strips in a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Set aside to marinate for about 15 minutes.

Breading

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Stations

In a shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour. In a second shallow dish, beat the eggs until smooth. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well to combine all the dry ingredients.

  2. 3

    Coat the Chicken

Take each chicken strip and first coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. Place the breaded chicken strips on a plate and repeat until all strips are coated.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (around 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the breaded chicken strips in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).

  2. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, transfer the chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or ranch dressing.
