Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- 2
- 3
Cook the Steak
Once the grill is hot, add the ribeye steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add crushed garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan for flavor.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thick strips to form fries.
- 6
Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 9
Season the Fries
Sprinkle the hot fries with salt immediately after removing them from the oil.
