Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Brush with olive oil

Drizzle the olive oil over the sliced bread, ensuring each slice is lightly coated. Use a brush for even coverage if desired.

  3. 3

    Toast the bread

Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Topping preparation

  1. 4

    Chop the tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 5

    Prepare basil and garlic

Chop the fresh basil leaves and mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 6

    Season the mixture

Add salt and black pepper to the tomato mixture according to your taste. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  4. 7

    Add balsamic reduction

Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the tomato mixture and gently toss to combine.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Top the bread

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.

  2. 9

    Serve immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately for the best texture.
