Make the Pickling Brine
In a small saucepan, combine white vinegar, sugar, salt, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat until sugar and salt dissolve.

Prepare the Pork Patty Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground pork with garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form the Patties
Divide the pork mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

Cook the Patties
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers
On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, a pork patty, a slice of cheese, a tomato slice, and top with pickled onions. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides.
