Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still firm. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Add the Edamame

Add the cooked edamame to the skillet with the garlic butter. Stir well to coat the edamame with the garlic butter.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Whiskey

Carefully pour in the whiskey, and continue to sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off while enhancing the flavors.

  5. 5

    Season the Edamame

Sprinkle the sea salt and freshly ground black pepper over the edamame, stirring to combine evenly.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the edamame to a serving dish, and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm.
