Green Beans
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Green Beans
Wash and trim the ends of the fresh green beans.
- 2
Blanch the Green Beans
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- 4
Combine and Season
Add the blanched green beans to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Toss to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 5
Finish with Lemon and Cheese
Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Top with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
