Cooking Instructions
Preparation
Begin by rinsing the beef liver under cold water. Pat it dry with paper towels, then slice it into thin strips or pieces.
Prepare the Onions
Peel and slice the onions into thin rings or half-moons.
Cook the Onions
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Cook the Liver
In the same skillet, push the onions to the side and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Increase the heat to medium-high. Season the beef liver with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the liver to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
Combine and Serve
Once the liver is cooked, mix it with the onions in the skillet. Cook together for an additional minute. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
