Method

Omelette Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the onion and bell pepper into small pieces. Slice the mushrooms.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and lightly browned.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and whisk them together. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Cook the Omelette

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Cook on medium heat until the edges start to set, about 3-5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add the Fillings

Once the edges are set, sprinkle the diced ham and both cheeses evenly over one half of the omelette. Allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese starts to melt.

  6. 6

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelette in half, covering the fillings. Cook for another minute and then slide it onto a plate.
