Chocolate Lava Cake Ingredients

Method

Directions for Chocolate Lava Cake

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.

3

Mix Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated.

4

Add Flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Do not overmix.

5

Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

6

Bake

Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

7

Serve

Let the cakes cool for 1 minute, then carefully invert onto plates. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
