Prepare the Burger Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form into two patties.

Add Green Chiles and Cheese
Once the patties are nearly cooked through, top each patty with diced green chiles and a mixture of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

While the cheese is melting, you can toast the burger buns in a separate pan or under a broiler until golden brown.
