- 1
Prepare the Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Coat the Cheese Sticks
Take a mozzarella stick and roll it in the flour, ensuring it is completely coated. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll it in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. Repeat this process with all mozzarella sticks.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping in a few breadcrumbs; they should sizzle and turn golden brown.
- 4
Fry the Mozzarella Logs
Carefully add the breaded mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 5
Serve
Serve the hot mozzarella logs immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
