Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Season both sides of the ahi tuna fillets with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Once hot, sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare. Remove from heat and let rest.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Salad Components

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, shredded cabbage, edamame, thinly sliced carrots, diced red onions, chopped bell peppers, and sliced jalapeños. Toss gently to combine.

  3. 3

    Slice the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice the avocado into thin wedges.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Tortilla Strips

If using store-bought tortilla strips, measure out 1 cup. If making homemade, fry or bake tortilla cut into strips until crispy.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Salad

On a large plate or bowl, layer the mixed greens salad. Top with sliced ahi tuna, avocado slices, and sprinkle tortilla strips on top.

  2. 6

    Drizzle the Dressings

Lightly drizzle sweet chili glaze and Asian sesame vinaigrette over the salad. Adjust the amount based on your taste preference.
