Preparation

Preparation

1. Prepare the Spinach

Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under cold water. Remove any tough stems and roughly chop the leaves.

2. Chop the Aromatics

Finely mince the garlic cloves and slice the green onions, using both the white and green parts.

Cooking

3. Sauté the Spinach and Aromatics

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of oil or butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the green onions and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

4. Mix the Dip Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded parmesan, shredded mozzarella, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth and well combined.

5. Combine Spinach and Cheese Mixture

Add the cooled spinach mixture to the cheese mixture and stir until fully incorporated.

Baking

6. Bake the Dip

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the spinach dip mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serving

7. Serve the Dip

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with tortilla chips, pita bread, or fresh vegetable sticks.
