Method

Preparing the Blackened Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil and then coat it thoroughly with the blackening seasoning. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribeye

Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned ribeye and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

Caramelizing the Onions

  1. 3

    Slice and Cook the Onions

Thinly slice the onion. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onions and salt, cooking them for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are golden brown and caramelized.

Preparing the Sauces

  1. 4

    Mix the Dijon Horseradish Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard and prepared horseradish. Mix well and set aside.

Assembling the Sliders

  1. 5

    Toast the Brioche Buns

Lightly toast the brioche buns in a skillet or toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Build the Sliders

Spread a generous amount of garlic aioli on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun. Layer on the sliced blackened ribeye, followed by a slice of Swiss cheese and a spoonful of caramelized onions. Drizzle with the Dijon horseradish sauce and top with the other half of the bun.

Cooking the Waffle Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Waffle Fries

Cook the frozen waffle fries as per the package instructions, usually baking in the oven or frying until crispy.
