Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Add Spaghetti

Once the water is boiling, add 200 grams of spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain and Set Aside

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.

Marinara Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Spices

Add 400 grams of canned crushed tomatoes, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp dried basil, 0.5 tsp salt, 0.25 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp sugar to the saucepan.

  3. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.

  4. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the marinara sauce over the cooked spaghetti and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  1. 8

    Melt Butter

In a separate saucepan, melt 50 grams of butter over medium heat.

  2. 9

    Add Cream and Garlic

Add 200 ml of heavy cream and 2 minced garlic cloves to the melted butter. Stir well and heat until it begins to simmer.

  3. 10

    Incorporate Cheese

Slowly stir in 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and smooth. Season with 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.

  4. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the Alfredo sauce over the cooked spaghetti and garnish with chopped parsley.
