Chicken Tenders

Breading

Method

Prepare Chicken

  1. 1

    Season the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips. In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken strips. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.

Prepare Breading Station

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined. In the third bowl, mix the bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.

Bread the Chicken

  1. 3

    Coat Each Strip

Take each marinated chicken strip, first coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off. Finally, roll it in the bread crumb mixture until well-coated. Set aside on a plate.

Fry the Chicken

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread; it should sizzle immediately.

  2. 5

    Cook the Chicken Tenders

Carefully place a few breaded chicken tenders in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use tongs to turn them.

  3. 6

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Continue frying the remaining tenders.
