Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Penne

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically around 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 2

    Season and Cook the Shrimp

In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the blackened seasoning until evenly coated. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and have a nice char. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Combine Pasta and Shrimp

Add the drained penne pasta and cooked shrimp to the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are well coated in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

  2. 5

    Serve

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot. Enjoy your Blackened Shrimp Alfredo!
