Fish Marinade

Taco Assembly

Method

Fish Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lime juice to create the marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

Place the redfish fillets in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring that each fillet is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Fish

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat a grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure it's well-heated before adding the fish.

  2. 4

    Cook the Fish

Remove the fish from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the fillets on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is blackened and cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.

Taco Assembly

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

While the fish is resting, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Flake the blackened redfish and divide it among the warmed tortillas. Top each taco with shredded cabbage, diced avocado, and chopped cilantro. Add a dollop of sour cream and serve with lime wedges on the side.
