Method

Preparing the Chicken

  1. 1

    Season the Chicken

Rub the chicken breasts with blackening seasoning evenly on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from skillet and let it rest.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 3

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and then add the linguine. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Making the Alfredo Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In the same skillet used for the chicken, lower the heat to medium and add butter. Allow it to melt.

  2. 5

    Add Cream and Garlic

Stir in the heavy cream and minced garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Cheese

Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.

Combining Everything

  1. 7

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat evenly.

  2. 8

    Slice the Chicken

Slice the rested blackened chicken into strips.

  3. 9

    Serve

Plate the linguine and top with sliced blackened chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
