Prepare the Croutons

Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes. In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the cubes out on a baking sheet.

Bake the Croutons
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through to ensure even baking. Remove from oven and let cool.
Prepare the Dressing

Mix the Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, anchovy paste, minced garlic clove, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary.
Assemble the Salad

Chop the Lettuce
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear or chop it into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Add the cooled croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl with the romaine lettuce.

Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad ingredients. Toss gently until everything is well coated with the dressing.
