Preparing the Oysters

Prepare the Oysters
Rinse the fresh oysters under cold water and carefully shuck them. Set aside in a bowl.

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour, beat the eggs with buttermilk, and mix cornmeal with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Frying the Oysters

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Oysters
Carefully add the breaded oysters to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Preparing the Apple Slaw

Slice the Vegetables
Thinly slice the green apple, shred the red cabbage, and julienne the carrot.

Mix the Slaw Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apple, cabbage, and carrot. In a small bowl, whisk together the cider vinegar, honey, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine.
Preparing the Brie

Bake the Brie
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the brie cheese in a small oven-safe dish, sprinkle with fresh thyme, and drizzle with honey. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is warm and gooey.
Plating

On a serving platter, arrange the fried oysters, apple slaw, and baked brie. Drizzle any remaining honey over the brie and enjoy!
